The Performance Engineering Team at Cicero-North Syracuse High School is a group of ambitious, hard-working students who meet every day after school and work together to build energy-efficient vehicles. This year, the team is designing and constructing a custom-made hydrogen fuel-cell car to compete in the Shell Eco-Marathon in Sonoma, California in April.The Shell Eco-Marathon is an annual, international competition where students of all ages are challenged to design and drive their own ultra-energy-efficient vehicle the farthest on one liter of fuel. Teams are judged on vehicle design and safety features as well as how well participants work together.
