Secure Portal Instructions

Secure Portal

The Central New York Regional Information Center’s Secure Portal is a secure application where districts can keep track of their designated Trusted Agents, view the services they are currently purchasing from the CNYRIC, view any active projects that are ongoing, and request additional information about CNYRIC services that might benefit their districts.

Managing Users

Users can create accounts for any district personnel who they wish to have log in to the Secure Portal (typically, only district superintendents and business officials  have log in accounts), and can assign Trusted Agents for the district.
Trusted Agents are district personnel who have the authority to authorize changes and request information from the various systems managed by the CNYRIC.

Trusted Agents

Here, district representatives can view the list of the district’s current Trusted Agents on file. When clicking on “Trusted Agents,” users will be taken to a master page that includes all of the trusted agents on file for the district, as well as what information they have access to (such as “assessment data” or “financial access”).

Purchased Services

This area or the Secure Portal lets users view the services that the district is currently purchasing through the CNYRIC. It includes service descriptions, as well as the annual costs associated with the services being provided.

Projects Info

This area of the Secure Portal shows users which projects the district currently have open with the CNYRIC.

Services Interest Inventory

This provides information about the categories of services being offered by the CNYRIC. Here, users can review services descriptions, and select any that are of interest to their school district. From there, the CNYRIC will use the information to guide future discussions with district representatives.
