Test Scoring
The Test Scoring Department at the Central New York Regional Information Center (CNYRIC) provides fifty public school districts and approximately forty non-public school districts with answer sheets, labels, and supporting documentation.
Test Scoring services are available for all New York State Grades 3-8 Assessments, selected publisher tests, and Regents exams for the January and June administrations.
Services include pre-printed answer sheets, booklet labels, class rosters, shipping labels, and directions. Except for Regents answer sheets, which are Remotely Scored, answer sheets are returned to the CNYRIC Test Scoring Department for scanning, verification and reporting.
Assistance with test scoring procedures, data warehousing, remote scoring and item analysis reporting for Regents exams is also provided.
Test results are exported and electronically stored in the Data Warehouse for reporting and accountability purposes. Reports and data are then available at any future point in time.
Semi-annual test scoring user group meetings for 3-8 testing are held in the fall and spring at each of the BOCES locations. Semi-annual Regents exam processing user group meetings are held in the fall and spring at the CNYRIC.
The CNYRIC Test Scoring Department is also the hub for designing the New York State 3-8 answer sheets, coordinating the statewide bid for OMR participants, and supporting scanning and editing applications for Regional Information Centers around New York State.
