 Collaborating in the Cloud:
Prezi and Google Docs

Prezi is a web-based presentation application and storytelling tool that uses a single canvas instead of traditional slides. The presentation can be developed in a browser window, then downloaded so that an internet connection is not needed when showing the presentation. With Prezi Meeting, teams can collaborate live or simply present prezis with up to 10 people in a prezi at one time.

Google Docs provides an online office suite that allows you to access your documents from any computer via a web browser. It also facilitates collaboration and sharing. You can easily do all the word-processing basics, including making bulleted lists, sorting by columns, adding tables, images, comments, formulas, changing fonts and more. Multiple people can view and make changes at the same time.

Flipped Classroom
  https://www.cnyric.org/tfiles/folder1063/flipped%20classroom%2Epng
Are you interested in flipping your classroom?  A flipped classroom is a trend in education where teachers use current technologies to assign lectures for homework and do homework during class time.  This classroom model frees teachers for more authentic interaction with the students during class time and gets away from the "sage on the stage" lecture format.  Students are expected to use the technology they already have to receive lecture outside of class.  This 3 hour workshop will give you an introduction to how to get started flipping your class using resources that most schools have at their disposal already.  We will examine video resources that are already created (i.e. Khan Academy, SchoolTube, TED Lectures and Discovery Education), as well as options for creating your own authentic instruction using screen casting.
