K-12 On Demand Video: Getting ready for wide-spread usage
Please join us for a full day hands-on workshop for educators and administrators to learn about the educational uses of video.

The intention of this workshop is to:
- increase awareness of current K-12 video usage
- have participants create, upload, catalog, and publish a video using Ensemble
- discuss and demonstrate the new features of Ensemble v3.0
- develop practical knowledge about how to create an environment for wide-spread video usage

Keynotes:
Scott Nadzan - Scott is the Director of Technology Services at Syracuse University.He has worked in the digital media and technology industry for 12 years developing an array rich media resources and experiences to support instruction, research, communication and commerce. Scott’s areas of expertise are web design, streaming media, flash development, Internet marketing and distance learning applications.
Currently, as Director of Technology Services, Scott develops and implements the strategic vision for technology initiatives for the Whitman School of Management. This includes researching, planning and implementing new technologies, directing and supervising activities of the Technology Services staff, preparing professional development programs and managing the technology services budget. He also represents the interests of the Whitman School in University-wide technology policy and planning committees.
Scott Carpenter - Scott Carpenter is the Director of Information Technology at South Lewis Central School in the Tug Hill region of New York State. Before arriving at South Lewis Scott worked at the Mohawk RIC for 12 years, in charge of the Network and Telecommunications teams as well as working with districts on various R&D projects, with much emphasis on video technology.
Currently at South Lewis, Scott is continuing the vision of the use and benefits of video technology in the classrooms. South Lewis School district has deployed the Ensemble Video Technology to create it's own video portal "SouthLew Tube", which provides faculty, staff, students and community a virtual window into the district.
