From Around the Region: Solvay Varsity Softball Presented with NYS Senate Resolution by Sen. DeFrancisco

Congratulations to the Solvay Union Free School District (UFSD) Varsity Softball team! After winning the Class B New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Championships in June, the Solvay UFSD Varsity Softball team was recently presented with a New York State Legislative resolution in their honor. 

On Tuesday, July 18, Senator DeFrancisco presented the Solvay UFSD Varsity Softball team with a New York State Legislative resolution that was passed by both houses. Senate Resolution #2948 was passed on June 20, 2017 and Assembly Resolution #664 was passed on June 19, 2017. The co-sponsored resolution reads: "Congratulating the Solvay Varsity Softball Team upon the occasion of capturing the New York State Public High School Athletic Association 2017 Softball Class B Championship."
 
Senator DeFrancisco presented every player with their own copy of the resolutions following a brief ceremony.
