Teaching in Remote Learning Environments

eTeachNY is a coalition of educational partners who have come together to support the implementation of the Teaching in Remote Learning Environments (TRLE) Initiative. In coordination with NYSED, eTeachNY supports the development and implementation of training related to the six core areas outlined below:

  • Culturally Responsive Education
  • ELLs and/or MLLs
  • Families as Partners
  • Social Emotional Learning
  • Shifting to Online Learning
  • Students with Disabilities

As part of the statewide grant, the Central New York Regional Information Center (CNYRIC) and the four BOCES in our Joint Management Team are working together to turnkey approximately 48-60 FREE workshops/sessions over the next several months. Our team members are currently attending the first round of turnkey trainings that will be offered across the six core areas. Please know that the topics in many of these workshops have already been offered by our Instructional Support Services teams — and some offerings may be considered review for some of your educators — but the intent is to ensure that every educator in New York State has the skills, knowledge, and capacity to teach remotely and reach each and every student. These trainings are open to all educators in the state.
