The development, submission, and approval of a district technology plan is a requirement for E-Rate funding. Districts can submit a one, two, or three-year plan for approval, but must always be operating under an approved plan to receive E-Rate funds. The CNYRIC reviews plans to make sure they meet the 5 basic requirements for E-Rate certification.
The evaluation rubric that CNYRIC staff members use to evaluate plans before they are submitted to the State for approval must be completed by each district and submitted as the last section of the technology plan. It can also be used by districts as a guide to assist in the technology plan development process. The form is found here: E-Rate & Technology Plan Evaluation Rubric (.doc)
The Technology Budget Summary Worksheet is new, and should be submitted by all districts by October 15th every year. This replaces the detailed budgets that were required in the past. The form is found here: Technology Budget Summary Worksheet (.xls)
