The Data Warehouse has a relational database structure that integrates detailed K-12 information from different student management systems and locations into regional and statewide databases. Collected student and district-specific data serve as the foundation for data analysis and informed instructional decisions.

Services at a Glance
College Clearinghouse |
This service provides college enrollment data across sectors (community, public, and private), demographics (including race/ethnicity and income), and areas of study. Schools can use this information to assess students' college interests, persistence, and overall success after graduation. |
Customized Data Services |
This service provides additional data warehouse training and/or application support to meet the specific needs of districts in the area of data verification. Data Warehouse staff provide customized data facilitation training in districts, building sustainable practices in the skillful use of data to improve student outcomes. It also provides RIC programming assistance in supporting districts or BOCES with data to populate student management systems or other student or data related applications. The data warehouse department can also conduct systematic reviews through data analysis and interviews of people, processes, and procedures related to the collection, verification, and analysis of district and school data |
Data Warehouse Participation |
Data Warehouse services support the reporting of staff and student data to the Student Information Repository System (SIRS). This includes Level 0 and Level 0 Historical reporting applications, as well as Level 1 and Level 2 Data Warehouse systems. It also includes access to Cognos Level 1 and Level 2 reports, with unlimited accounts available for district personnel. District personnel are also invited to bimonthly data administration meetings to stay current on reporting requirements and upcoming deadlines. |
District Data Coordination |
CNYRIC provides data coordination support for districts in the areas of verification, analysis, and facilitation, working directly with administrators and staff. Services include fostering clear communication around New York State Education Department (NYSED) data collection and verification deadlines, and reviewing student information systems (both general and special education) to ensure compliance with NYSED Student Information Repository System (SIRS) reporting requirements. Data coordinators also offer Response to Intervention (RTI) support and consultation, preparing customized data analysis reports on request, including attendance trends, summary of AIMSweb data, graduation rates, passing rate trends, and state testing score analysis. Customized support for data verification, data analysis, and data facilitation is also available. |
